Organico is an New Zealand owned and operated coffee roastery. The coffee roasters has been established for over 30 years, and they are the pioneers of the New Zealand coffee industry. Each batch is sourced from all around the world and roasted in New Zealand, led by the founder Derek Townsend. Organico has been successful in supplying to cafes, resorts, small food stores and large supermarkets for over 20 years. Over time, coffee demand has grown over the years, competing with supermarket brands has resulted in slow sales growth.
I was approached to develop a new brand language and update the packaging that best reflects Organico hand crafted coffee, and appeal to a niche and design savvy coffee market. My role also involved telling a story through the packaging and leading the creative strategy to show the diverse landscape of New Zealand.
